I think the labor force and hiring the right people has been a challenge for the industry. Something that we are doing as a company is working with the future leaders of our industry. We attend career fairs at high schools and are starting internship opportunities with local schools in our area. We have also started working with ACE mentorship, where we volunteer 30 hours a semester to high school juniors and seniors. We believe in investing in the future leaders of our generation while also empowering our internal team. What advice would you give to another woman working in the construction industry? The communities that we are a part of are crucial. I believe we can go extremely far together, and with the right people and the right mindset, anything is possible. I am so grateful to be a part of different communities like the National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC), Women Construction Owners and Executives (WCOE), and the Silicon Valley Central Chamber of Commerce (SVCCC), who all support what we are doing within the industry. We are creating opportunities for women and youth in the construction world. Get involved, attend networking events, say hello, follow up, and reach out; you will be surprised by the outcome.
