Hi {NAME}, It should be second nature, but it’s not. Not in today’s world. Here’s a few ways to get your steps up without even realizing you are doing it. 1) Pacing. I take almost all of my phone calls walking or pacing. If I am in my small office, I pace in my room and can still clock in 1k steps in a 10 to 15 minute phone call. If you work in an office setting that allows you to do this, then go for it! 2.) Get a cheap treadmill. Simple as it seems, you can find them inexpensively. Funny enough, I am a motivated person, but since having a little treadmill at my house, I find myself walking whenever I have easy down time. It makes it feel like I don’t have to miss out on my kids/family etc because I am not actually leaving. 3.) Walking dates: When I have a date night with my wife, we take it as an opportunity to walk to dinner. We get a chance to catch up and talk about life and we also get to go enjoy a great time and a break from the kids. Date night doesn’t have to be fancy and sedentary, change how you look at this. 4.) Dog dates: If you have dogs, make it a distinct date to take the dogs out for a walk somewhere. We realized that since having kids, time sneaks away from you and what used to be a very common occurrence of taking our dogs for their own fun adventures becomes a bit more few and far between. If you’ve followed me for a while then you know that we have four dogs and they are pretty much our life. If you’re a dog lover, you ought to try [Sundays Dog Food]( as well. Stuff is unreal. It’s human-grade, which means that it is the same standard of food that humans eat. In fact, it’s the only human grade dog food available - Here is a 35% Off discount  to try it for your dogs. [( Its the only food our 18 year old pup will eat!! 5.) Park far away: Be a goofball. Be the person that purposely parks at the edge of the parking lot. Crazy but it can add 1500 steps to your day just by doing that! 6.) Cleaning: This one I underestimated. Makes my wife super happy that I run around the house picking up things and cleaning. Little does she know I am stoked that I just knocked down 2500 steps by doing laundry and cleaning up. Shift how you look at these things. Instead of work, its fitness. 7.) Airport pacing: Obvious but sometimes overlooked. Have 30 minutes of time at the airport before you’re about to be sedentary for 4 hours? Walk. Walk with your bag, your backpack. Trust me, you’ll have time to work on the plane. Get your steps in now. 8.) Sunset Excuse: After dinner (or before) use the "Huberman" excuse to go see the sunset by going for a walk. It’s going to benefit you in the way of steps, and you’re getting the red spectrum wavelength that will help you sleep. 9.) 30 Minute Rule: This one is fundamental. If you’re at your desk. Set a timer for 30 minute intervals. Every 30 minutes, get up and walk for 3 minutes. That’s a simple trip to the bathroom or even a quick lap to get water or coffee (or a croissant… NOT). The goal is to integrate these things into your life. But sometimes we have to gamify it in the beginning in order to form a new habit. By doing little things like this, it is almost impossible to not get at least 7,000 steps. They just add up. For what it is worth, we are a family of 4 people with 4 dogs living in an 1,100 square foot house, and even on the crappiest weather days, I still manage to get 10k steps in by driving the family crazy pacing 🙂 See you tomorrow!
