It’s kind of frustrating, {NAME}, I saw an article in "Eating Well" Magazine that was talking about a specific influencer that "Quit Keto." She talked about how she believed all of the hype and what not… Her concerns and feelings were valid, but felt a little bit sensationalized. But I have noticed a lot of keto and low carb people disengaging from low carb ways of eating, and I think it might be a knee jerk reaction, if you ask me. Sure, you don’t need to do keto anymore, but some people are running straight back to the standard American Diet…. Please don’t! The biggest reasons I have been seeing people quit keto has been because they either feel "pressured" from online scrutinizing (being called names, made to feel like a tin-foil hat wearing weirdo, etc), or because they claim they were missing out on nutrients on low-carb. The second reason is pretty common. I would find myself living on chicken and cheese sometimes too and not getting enough veggies or other nutrients in, so I can see how it could happen quite easily. I have to make a concerted effort to add fiber into my diet when I am low carb, and I also need to be smart about my fruit timing, veggie allocation, and just proper nutrition in general (even if it’s getting some Liver in my diet to get Vitamin B). I also use [Organifi’s Green and Red Juice]( to help make up for insufficiencies too. The green juice (although not a replacement for veggies) definitely has a plethora of vitamins and minerals as well as adaptogens in it that make me feel like a million bucks. But their red juice is super potent for getting some of the antioxidants and polyphenols from fruit that I would not typically get on keto or low carb. All with only 2g of sugar (from fruit, not added). Here’s a link for 20% off using code THOMAS2023: [( There are also some other items there you might want to try, but if you buy anything from my list of items on that page, you get invited to an exclusive webinar that I WILL BE GIVING A LECTURE AT on July 13th. This is exclusive for Organifi customers and specifically those that buy recommended items from me. Would be awesome if you can be a part of it, again, you just try Organifi [HERE]( and you will get an email that gives you the details. Here are a few ways to get appropriate nutrition when on Low Carb so this does not happen to you, though: 1. Prioritize fiber and protein before fat. Fat is great, but it adds up and you need adequate protein and nutrients first. So eat the protein before the cheese, please. 2. Multivitamins do indeed help 3. Spirulina, Chlorella, Deep Leafy Greens, [Organifi Green Juice]( all are great 4. Don’t be afraid of berries! Seriously, I was eating close to pound of strawberries per day and was still making over 2mmol of ketones when I would measure 5. Eat Beef liver if you cannot get greens in, or at least take an organ supplement if not But realistically, with a few veggies, some fruits, or some greens powder, you should be just fine. AND REMEMBER, you do not have to do keto forever… you can cycle on and off and use it as a tool, no one says it HAS to be a forever lifestyle!
