Hi {NAME}, The Top 5 Nutrient Deficiencies in the U.S. today… it gets pretty wild: Iron: This does NOT mean go out and take an iron supplement, that is NOT the way to really fix an iron deficiency. Symptoms are: - Extreme Fatigue - Lightheadedness - Appetite Swings Best ways to combat it: - Occasional Red Meat - Shellfish - Spinach or Leafy Greens (cooked to break down antinutrients) Next up, Magnesium: This one has gotten really bad with 60-80% of Americans deficient in it! That’s absolutely unreal! Symptoms are: - Leg Cramps, particularly at night - Anxiety and Moodiness - Irregular Heartbeat - Constipation I recommend a few different forms of magnesium, but mainly dimagnesium malate and glycinate. The best sources are really those leafy greens again. Oats are another source, but that comes with a lot of carbs, so you may not want to opt for that one. If you want a good [GREENS DRINK]( I recommend Organifi. It is really, really good tasting and gives you a bunch of servings of greens in a single glass. Highly worth the investment, if you ask me, and using my link here gets you 20% off Greens, reds, or anything on their site - [( Also, if you try their sunrise to sunset package (Greens, Reds and Turmeric Gold) you get a free box of PURE, which is there cognitive drink that also has some potent digestive support. Regardless, the greens and the reds (fruits and veggies in a glass) are my go to, particularly when I am on the road, which is A LOT, [Get 20% Off HERE]( Next up, Vitamin D: A study in Nutrition Research looked at the vit D levels of 4495 adults in the US and it was defined as levels ≤20 ng/mL (50 nmol/L). They found that in this cohort, 42% of individuals were deficient in vitamin D, and a massive 82% of black people were deficient and there was greater deficiency in those who consumed no dairy Here’s what you might notice: You’re getting sick more often. You’re developing more mental health issues than you’ve noticed before. Bone/muscle pain - Yep, vitamin D has receptors in pain receptors. Which means when we are deficient, we might get more sensitive to pain! Obviously the best choices are sunlight, eggs, and fish, but if you must go a supplement route, go with Cod Liver Oil so that it has bioavailable vitamin A as well. A big one is IODINE! We think because we have iodized salt that this wouldn’t be an issue… think again! Over 2 Billion people are deficient in Iodine and over 50 Million are CLINICALLY deficient (bad news). This can lead to disrupted thyroid function when can have huge effects on metabolism (fast and slow). Some simple sources are seaweed (10x the value in just 1g), kelp, shellfish, iodized salt. Lastly, a Whopping 17% of adults are deficient in Vitamin C! I did not think we’d have to worry about scurvy this day in age, but apparently we eat so little veggies and fruits that this is actually becoming a problem again. Getting Sick more often… Slow wound healing… Bad skin… These are all early warning signs. Try adding more broccoli, green peppers, strawberries and if you’re okay with a few more carbs, kiwis (try eating with the peel too). Organifi’s Red Juice also has loads of vitamin C as well, if you want to get a bunch of fruits in with only 2g of sugar - same 20% off discount right here [( I have some big news coming up with Organifi as well. I will be releasing an exclusive live webinar with them in July that will ONLY be for select guests. This will be live and wilk have a Q&A portion as well, so keep on the look out from Organifi for details on that! See you tomorrow!
