Hi {NAME}, I know my diet has shifted a bit over the past couple of years... But it really hasn't changed as much as people think. Here's a rough concept of the foods I am eating in a given week (some every day, but not all). 1) Eggs, Eggs, Eggs: I Eat a lot of eggs. Generally poached because I don't like to add extra calories if I don't need to and I usually love the taste of them being popped over some spinach or a bed of ground beef. I typically have 4-5 per day. 2) Ground Beef: I was a new york steak guy for a long time, but I realized that ground beef is where it is at for me nowadays. The convenience factor, it's already somewhat digested, and it a lot of times contains some of the connective tissue which is so beneficial anyway. I cannot get enough of it. Relatively low carb and one of the lowest carb berries that is out there. Not to mention it is one of the most potent antioxidant sources on the planet with an ORAC score that rivals most vegetables. I would say I eat blueberries by the cup full about 4-5 days per week. One of the ONLY carbs that doesn't seem to give me brain fog. 4) Cauliflower: I still pound the heck out of this stuff. Cauli rice, cauli florets, you name it. The estrogen blocking power makes it one of my all time favorites that is too dang healthy to have leave my diet. I try to eat it at the end of the day though to avoid bloating. 5) Greek or Bulgarian Yogurt: I need my extra protein, so Greek yogurt has been in my life now almost daily for the past 3 years. It's easy to digest, makes my tummy feel good, and keeps me regular on top of giving me a low carb boost of 25-30g more protein. Sometimes I just have it for dinner and strangely enough I sleep like a rock those nights. 6) Whey Protein Powder or Pumpkin Seed Protein: I rotate out both. Whey protein when I need faster absorbing like after a workout or when I am in a pinch, and a plant based protein when I want more of a meal replacement with some more fiber and maybe other antioxidants. Whey is always a staple to add more protein where as plant based is more full spectrum for me. 7) Applegate Farms or other Non-preservative Deli Meat: Theres nothing to it but meat and salt. Deli meat MOSTLY is garbage, but you can find good ones and you shouldn't be afraid of ones like this. They keep me sane on the road and when I have to be somewhere quick. Sure the sodium is high, but I sweat it out anyway. 8) Oysters: Usually canned. I have them 3-4x per week because canned oysters are one of the only sea creatures that are safe to have farmed (try to get not from China because there are some issues there). But the zinc profile as well as omega 3 is absolutely insane! I try to get them in olive oil. 9) Raw Milk or Raw Cream: Yep, I was never a big milk guy, but now I find that my immune system is just better when I dose raw milk appropriately. I know it's not available in all states, but if you can get access to it, try having a half cup per day or so. Or at least raw cream added to yogurt or something. The microbial benefits are amazing. 10): Noc Nocs: What the heck is that? It's what my son used to call macadamia nuts when he was a 1 year old. These are a staple in my life. Yes, I do have mac nut sponsors, but I have them because I eat too many of them! I do try to limit to 2oz per day though. Bonus 11) Avocado... I really try to have an avocado per day. Seems to keep everything feeling good and the heart healthy MUFAs are too good to pass up. Dang, Now I feel guilty because there are a ton more I would like to list...
