Hi {NAME}, I don’t drink anymore. But I used to, and I know how it affects the body. I try not to step in and tell people what to do with their social lives, rather I like to provide solutions one way or the other. Here’s five things that you can do to help out if you’re going on vacation or a night out on the town and want to make better food choices. 1 - Have Salt along with your drinks: Alcohol disrupts energy sensing in the body. Meaning the 7 calories per gram that you take in from alcohol actually negatively impacts how your body sees OTHER calories. This can make you super hungry because your body thinks you do not have food. Salt can help what are called NST neurons in our brain to get a signal to NOT seek food as much. Probably why sometimes when you’re craving sweet things and you have some salt, the sweet cravings ease up. So, I usually recommend sipping on some electrolytes in between drinks. LMNT tastes the best in my opinion, so here is a link to get a free sample-pack along with your purchase - [( I recommend the citrus salt as it tastes kind of like Sprite and can even be mixed with a drink. Not to mention, you get dehydrated when you drink, so this could mitigate a hangover. Try it Here - [( 2- Protein before drinking: It’s not because alcohol absorption, it’s because it will control the blood sugar a bit more and possibly keep you from making por decisions when you’re impaired. If you already have signals telling you to eat AND you’re a bit tipsy… you see where this could lead. So even 1 scoop of protein powder before a drink could help a ton. Otherwise, just prioritize the protein with dinner. 3 - Don’t go overboard on cheese when you’re drinking: It’s so easy to do it. Cheese hits our dopamine receptors ni a pretty serious way. Ordinarily it’s not the end of the world, but again, when your pre-frontal cortex might not be at it’s optimal best… you could fall victim to eating more and more. If you must have cheese, try going for more aged cheese or even goat that has less of the casomorphines that hit dopamine receptors. 4 - Avoid drinks that are combined with fruit juice: Fructose isn’t evil. But it does seem to stimulate appetite more. Keep your drinks simple and easy, and follow rule number 5 below. 5 - When possible, try to have triple or quadruple distilled drinks that are clear: Avoid the drinks with congeners like brandy, rum, etc, and go for vodka, gin, tequila, etc. Usually would recommend avoiding the wine in excess too. Sorry resveratrol fans, there is more resveratrol in a small handful of blueberries than a couple bottles of wine… don’t fool yourself, it’s not "healthy." If you want more tips like this, just reply and let me know. By and large the biggest takeaways are from tios #1 and #5. These will help you the MOST by a landslide. Thanks to LMNT for making a product that is great for athletes and a night out, too, haha! Try it here along with a free sample pack of all the flavors to give to your friends and family - [GET IT HERE.]( Thomas Sent to: {EMAIL} [Unsubscribe]( Thomas DeLauer, PO Box 1372, Zephyr Cove, NV 89448, United States
