[- - -] [TheWrap - SUMMER TV WATCH LIST] Week of November 21-27 Just in time for Thanksgiving, this week in TV is big on both family and fighting. Disney+’s “Hawkeye” covers both grounds, while Halle Berry throws some punches and “Great British Baking Show” restores your faith in humans. And you can always throw on the new Beatles doc if you need an excuse not to talk to your family for six whole hours. On with the television, you turkeys! [Premiere of the week]
“Hawkeye”

Disney+ isn’t done churning out live-action Marvel series this year. In “Hawkeye,” Jeremy Renner reprises his role as the bow-and-arrow-wielding Avenger and takes down some baddies as he aims (get it?) to make it home by Christmas. His sidekicks are Hailee Steinfeld, who joins the MCU as Hawkeye superfan Kate Bishop, and a very cute golden retriever named Lucky the Pizza Dog. The cast also includes Florence Pugh (who’s back as the badass Yelena from “Black Widow”), Vera Farmiga, Linda Cardellini and Alaqua Cox. [[INTERVIEW](]

“The Great British Baking Show”Friday, November 26, Netflix [_Great British Baking Show_]

The nicest show on television â sorry, “Succession” â caps off Collection 9 with a finale episode featuring more great bakes and cozy vibes; there’s just no wonder this low-stakes competition consistently enchants fans on both side of the pond. The only downside: It’ll probably break your heart by sending more of your fave contestants home. Justice for Lizzie and Jürgen!!! [[INTERVIEW](]

“Bruised”Wednesday, November 24, Netflix [bruised halle berry]

In her directorial debut, Halle Berry stars as the awesomely named Jackie Justice, a washed-up MMA fighter who re-enters the ring when the young son she abandoned comes back into her life. Berry fought hard for this one, both physically (she trained for over two years and suffered broken ribs on set) and mentally (the movie was originally offered to Blake Lively, who had to pass on the role before an eager Berry could claim it for herself). Here’s hoping Halle’s now enjoying some R&R this holiday season â sounds like she deserves it. [[REVIEW](]

“The Beatles: Get Back”Thursday, November 25, Disney+ [Beatles Get Back]

Peter Jackson doesn’t know how to do things on a small scale, and that’s great news for Beatles fans. What was originally intended as a feature film is now a three-part, six-hour event from the “Lord of the Rings” director, who apparently can’t resist a trilogy. “Get Back” features newly unearthed footage of The Fab Four from 1969 as they wrote and recorded music for their final albums, “Abbey Road” and “Let It Be.” Even more exciting for Beatles heads, the doc will show the band’s legendary rooftop concert in London â their last performance ever â for the very first time. “The O.C.”HBO Max [the oc]

OK, so this mid-aughts teen soap is far from a perfect show (we certainly don’t acknowledge the mess that is Season 4), but one thing “The O.C.” always did right was its holiday episodes, making it a great binge watch this time of year. For Turkey Day, go to “Homecoming,” where dinner at the Cohens descends into chaos. Then you’ve got some classic “Chrismukkah” chapters, like the Season 1 episode featuring the Sandy vs. Caleb and Summer vs. Anna showdowns. Cap it off with the New Year’s ep “The Countdown,” featuring the iconic slow-mo scene of Ryan racing into a party as the clock winds down to midnight so he can kiss Marissa before her psycho stalker can. American Music AwardsSunday, November 21, ABCThe year’s biggest breakout star, Olivia Rodrigo, unsurprisingly leads the pack of nominees for this fan-voted awards show, which airs live from L.A. She’ll take the stage alongside Carrie Underwood, BTS, Coldplay, Megan Thee Stallion and more, while the always-entertaining Cardi B hosts the festivities. [[NOMINEES](] “True Story”
Wednesday, November 24, NetflixKevin Hart didn’t have too much of a stretch playing a world-famous comedian here. But the limited series from “Narcos” boss Eric Newman is definitely not a comedy, as Hart’s character gets into a life-or-death situation with his wayward older brother (played by Wesley Snipes) that threatens to destroy everything he’s built. [[REVIEW](] “Selling Sunset”Wednesday, November 24, NetflixThe bad news: Season 4 of the hit reality series won’t cover Chrishell and Jason’s romance. The good news: With a group like this, there’s still plenty of capital-D Drama on deck, as two new realtors join the Oppenheim gang. Queen bee Christine Quinn rehashes old feuds, while Chrishell snags a big opportunity in helping “Shang-Chi” star Simu Liu find his dream home. Oh, and Davina seems to be back?! Good luck to her. [[TRAILER](] “Gossip Girl”Thursday, November 25, HBO MaxSeason 1 of the HBO Max spinoff picks back up with its second batch of episodes, and judging by the trailer, not much has changed. Julien and Zoya are at each other’s throats again, the teachers haven’t learned to butt out of their students’ lives and the all-knowing Gossip Girl’s still there to keep the rich kids in check. But hey, Monet has red hair now! [[TRAILER](] “South Park: Post Covid”Thursday, November 25, Paramount+The latest “South Park” special catches up with Kyle and Stan 40 years into the future, imagining what the world looks like for all the kids who survived the COVID-19 pandemic. This is the first of 14 (yes, 14!) “South Park” specials that will head to Paramount+ over the next six years, with another one coming next month. [[TRAILER](] “How to With John Wilson”Friday, November 26, HBO MaxFilmmaker John Wilson gave us one of the most charming, unexpected shows of 2020: a love letter to New Yorkers featuring people you’d normally never see on TV and who had no idea how interesting they are. This season will teach us how to appreciate wine, throw out batteries and remember our dreams â all with Wilson’s keen and curious eye. [[TRAILER](] [- - -] That does it for this weekâs edition of The Wrapâs Fall TV Watch List.
