Fall TV Watch List: You should see me in a crown No images? [Click here]( ID=167008;size=600x111;setID=491988;uid={EMAIL}5710142; [- - -] [TheWrap - SUMMER TV WATCH LIST] Week of November 14-20 “The Crown” may not be coming back until next year, but that’s not stopping some other royals (or wannabe royals) from raiding our screens. We’ve got Will Smith as a king, a returning big cat king, a couple of music queens and a pair of quirky “kweens” to get excited about this week, so let’s get to it. On with the television! [Premiere of the week] “Tiger King 2”Wednesday, November 17, Netflix [Tiger King Joe Exotic] Photo: Netflix No, you’re not stuck in some kind of twisted, pandemic-induced time loop; “Tiger King” is back for round two, despite Joe Exotic being behind bars and his private zoo now permanently closed. This sequel to the hit 2020 docuseries promises more madness and mayhem — and mullets and murder-for-hire schemes — for all of us cool cats and kittens who spent the early weeks of the pandemic devouring the story of eccentric zoo owner Joe Exotic’s rivalry with big cat rights activist Carole Baskin. The only person not psyched is Baskin herself, who’s [suing Netflix]( over the sequel. Not very cool. [[TRAILER](] ID=167008;size=300x250;setID=492280;uid={EMAIL}5710142; [- - -] [Premiere of the week] “The Morning Show”Friday, November 19, Apple TV+ [The Morning Show] Photo: Apple TV+ The chaotic, star-studded morning news drama has tackled a lot this season: litigation, a bombshell book, the COVID-19 pandemic and the arrival of Julianna Margulies (the best thing to ever happen to this show, TBH). And after that shocking Mitch twist from last week, it appears that we (especially poor Alex) are in for a doozy with the Season 2 finale, titled “Fever.” [[TRAILER](] [- - -] [Premiere of the week] “King Richard”Friday, November 19, HBO Max [King Richard] Photo: Warner Bros. This is essentially a biopic about Venus and Serena Williams, but as you’ve probably guessed from the title, the focus is actually on their dad, Richard Williams, played by Will Smith in a performance that’s already stirring up Oscar buzz. Charting how the precocious sisters from Compton became tennis legends, the drama is produced by Venus and Serena themselves, and — like all Warner Bros. movies released this year — premieres on HBO Max the same day it hits theaters. [[REVIEW](] [- - -] [Premiere of the week] “Jagged”Thursday, November 18, HBO Max Photo: HBO This second entry in Bill Simmons’ “Music Box” series covers Alanis Morissette’s 1995 breakthrough album “Jagged Little Pill” and delves into the sexual abuse she experienced as a young woman in the music industry. But you oughta know (sorry) before watching: Even though Morissette herself fully participated in the doc, she walked back her support after seeing the first cut, [calling it “salacious.”]( Awkward. [[TRAILER](] ID=167008;size=300x250;setID=492280;uid={EMAIL}5710142; [- - -] [Premiere of the week] “Broad City”Hulu [broad city] Photo: Comedy Central We covered the kings, now let’s get to the “kweens.” That’d be Abbi Jacobson and Ilana Glazer, our favorite unfiltered friends whose wild antics we devoured for five seasons on “Broad City.” What started as a web series became a lovable TV comedy classic chronicling the pair’s adventures around New York City, from the totally trippy (like the time they took mushrooms in a mostly animated episode) to the mundane and hilarious (like when they tried in vain to move a couch across the city). No matter how hard and expensive New York got for Abbi and Ilana, they always bounced back, thanks mostly to their one-in-a-million friendship. It’s high time (emphasis on the high) to revisit it. [[WATCH](] [- - -] [Premiere of the week] “The Sex Lives of College Girls” Thursday, November 18, HBO MaxMindy Kaling co-writes and executive produces this fun-looking dramedy about four roommates at a prestigious New England college. The poster comes with the tagline “No Rules, No Regrets,” so expect lots of hilarity and high jinks as the girls grapple with school, sororities, hookups and hormones. [[TRAILER](] “Mayor of Kingstown”Sunday, November 14, Paramount+No, it’s not a “Mare of Easttown” spinoff but rather a grimy crime drama from “Yellowstone” mastermind Taylor Sheridan. This one follows a family of power brokers in a small Michigan town where the business of incarceration is the only thriving industry. Jeremy Renner, Kyle Chandler and Dianne Wiest star. [[TRAILER](] “Adele One Night Only”Sunday, November 14, CBSWith all due respect to Taylor Swift, it’s Adele Season now. Ahead of the release of “30,” her first album in six years, the Grammy winner is releasing a two-hour special that captures a very snazzy-looking outdoor concert at L.A.’s Griffith Observatory (my invite must have gotten lost in the mail) and a sit-down interview with Oprah Winfrey. [[PREVIEW](] “The Wheel of Time”Friday, November 19, Amazon Prime VideoI’m not going to even try explaining what this fantasy series is about, considering it’s based on 10,000-plus pages of material and spans thousands of years. Bringing Robert Jordan’s 14 novels (plus a prequel) to the screen was certainly no easy feat, but Amazon’s already doing a “Lord of the Rings” series as well, so why not add another sprawling epic to its slate? [[TRAILER](] “Yellowjackets”Sunday, November 14, ShowtimePart coming-of-age drama and part psychological thriller, “Yellowjackets” follows a high school girls soccer team that gets stranded in the wilderness after a deadly plane crash and goes all “Lord of the Flies.” It hops between two time periods: one at the time of the crash, and one 25 years later, when Juliette Lewis, Christina Ricci, Melanie Lynskey and Tawny Cypress play adult versions of the girls who (spoiler alert) survived. [[REVIEW](] “Cowboy Bebop”Friday, November 19, NetflixAfter a ton of delays, the live-action adaptation of “Cowboy Bebop” is finally a go! The original was a ’90s Japanese anime series powered by a killer jazz soundtrack, and the Netflix series takes that concept and runs with it, following three bounty hunters traversing the lawless cosmos. Best of all, the anime’s original composer is back with new music for the show, so if nothing else, the jazz will be on point. The Flesch readability score uses the average length of your sentences (measured by the number of words) and the average number of syllables per word in an equation to calculate the reading ease. Text with a very high Flesch reading ease score (about 100) is straightforward and easy to read, with short sentences and no words of more than two syllables. Usually, a reading ease score of 60-70 is considered acceptable/normal for web copy.
