In the entertainment world, Justin Chang took home a Pulitzer for criticism, across fields, for his work as a film critic at the Los Angeles Times, where he worked for nearly eight years. He left earlier this year to join the New Yorker. The prizes also come with a $15,000 award in most categories. Chang was honored “for richly evocative and genre-spanning film criticism that reflects on the contemporary moviegoing experience,” according to the Pulitzer Prize Board.
