WE HELPED CHANGE GIRLS' LIVES As the Founding Patron for The #ChangeAGirlsLifeCampaign for The Prince’s Trust, this initiative is truly important to our founder, Chrissie. Its aim is to help disadvantaged and vulnerable young women who have faced hardships build a much brighter future. In honour of International Women’s Day, we donated £5 from every one of our candles sold between 2nd–8th March. This Autumn, we and our community partnered with The Prince’s Trust to host Brilliant Breakfasts across the country to raise funds for the charity. WE PARTNERED WITH ST MUNGO'S This year we’re incredibly proud to have partnered with leading homelessness charity St Mungo’s in its mission to end homelessness for good. We donated £1 from every transaction between 12th–13th November to the charity, as well as 10% of the sales of each pack of our charity Christmas cards over the festive season. The funds we raised will help St Mungo’s frontline workers ensure more people have their last night on the streets. Plus, our team have donated lovely, wrapped gifts to St Mungo’s services this Christmas. OUR CHARITY PARTNERSHIPS DON’T END THERE From donations to sponsored cycles and office bake-offs, we’ve been busy fundraising for all our White Heart Foundation charities. WE SENT AID TO UKRAINE To help vulnerable families affected by the crisis in Ukraine, we made a donation and contributed desperately needed supplies to the British Red Cross Ukraine Crisis Appeal. WE CYCLED YOUR PALACE 2 PALACE Members of our team cycled from Buckingham Palace to Windsor Castle to help raise money for Women Supporting Women at The Prince’s Trust. WE SUPPORTED SAMARITANS As the charity chosen by our teams, we’ve been busy raising funds in many ways, from donations at head office to sponsored marathons and volunteering days. WE INTRODUCED A RECYCLING INITIATIVE We’ve partnered with Thrift+ to help our customers give their unwanted clothes a second lease of life. You can now collect Thriftbags from any of our stand-alone stores. WE CAREFULLY SELECT MATERIALS AND SUPPLIERS We use many certified materials that lessen the impact of our industry on the environment, including fibres certified by the Responsible Wool Standard (RWS) and The Good Cashmere Standard®. This year, we’ve greatly increased our use of biodegradable natural materials that are sourced from environmentally responsible sources. WE'VE SET BIG TARGETS In 2023, we aim to be B Corp certified. We want to make sure that all our products are fully traceable from farm and forest (Tier 4 suppliers) by 2025, and by 2040, we want to achieve net zero carbon emissions throughout our business.
