Ted Cruz (R-Texas) spoke at Texas' Republican convention on Saturday about the need for "a president who will have your back." He didn't ever mention presumptive Republican nominee Donald Trump, whom he hasn't endorsed. Some convention delegates expressed uncertainty about voting for Trump. [Germany to reportedly spend $106 billion on refugee crisis by 2020] The German government expects to spend roughly $106 billion — 93.6 billion euros — on costs associated with the refugee crisis by the end of 2020, according to weekly news magazine Der Spiegel, which cited a draft from the federal finance ministry for negotiations. In 2015, Germany took in more than 1 million migrants, many of whom fled war in Syria and other war-torn nations. [ISIS militants kill at least 24 in Iraq, Yemen] Islamic State militants killed at least 12 people and wounded 25 others Sunday in an attack on a natural gas plant in Iraq, officials said. A car bomb exploded at the gate in Taji, just north of Baghdad, before suicide bombers entered the plant. In Yemen, a purported ISIS suicide bomber killed 12 people and wounded 17 others outside a police base. [South Texas bus crash kills 8, injures 44] A charter bus headed to a casino in southern Texas crashed Saturday, killing eight people and injuring 44 others. [Coast Guard continues search for missing cruise ship passenger] The U.S. Coast Guard continued its search Sunday for Samantha Broberg, 33, who fell overboard off of a cruise ship at 2 a.m. Friday. Video footage confirmed Broberg fell off of the Carnival Liberty, headed for Mexico, near the coast of Galveston, Texas.
