Also Inside: October is all about “Pinkwashing”... Thursday, Oct 6, 2022 Happy Thursday

Also Inside: October is all about “Pinkwashing”... Thursday, Oct 6, 2022  Happy Thursday, {NAME}!  On this day in 1993, Michael Jordan retired from the NBA. Sort of… At the time, Jordan had led his team to 3 championships (and was the MVP all 3 years). Upon announcing his retirement, he told reporters that he had “nothing left to prove.”  Just a few years later, Jordan returned to the NBA. He ultimately led his team to 3 more NBA championships (including the infamous “Flu Game” in 1997, where a feverish and dehydrated Jordan scored 38 points (including the game-winning 3-point shot with 25 seconds on the clock). He was MVP each of those seasons as well.   When Jordan first retired, he was celebrated as one of the NBA greats. When he returned, pundits and fans alike didn’t believe that he had enough gas in the tank to play like he used to. He proved them wrong, and is now widely regarded as the greatest player in NBA history.  Why are we talking about basketball?  Because things aren’t always what they seem. And that brings us to our first story this week. California Governor Gavin Newsom recently signed a bill that would punish doctors for promoting “misinformation” to their patients. But… things aren’t always as they seem. The sports “experts” were convinced that Jordan would never return. If he did, he would never be as good. They were wrong.  We’ve seen the same thing over and over again since the emergence of COVID-19. What was fact in 2020 is fiction today. What was “misinformation” is now CDC protocol. California has ushered in a dangerous new era of partisan politics guiding medicine… and patients are going to suffer.  It’s also our first email of October (can you believe there are less than 90 days remaining in 2022?!?), which means everything is about to turn pink. Pink ribbons. Pink cleats and jerseys. Pink cupcakes. Pink shirts, hats, and bumper stickers.  But the “Pinkwashing” of Breast Cancer Awareness Month is a corporate game that does little to combat the disease or help its patients. We’ve got the TRUTH about October, Susan G. Komen, and the failed “War on Cancer.”  Finally, did you know that walking is scientifically proven to help breast cancer patients recover? Nordic walking is known as the “silver bullet” for women recovering from breast cancer. Nordic walking can help restore lymphatic health, reduce pain, and increase mobility.  That was a bit of a long intro, but what can we say? We love talking about health and history! We’ve got some great articles that you may have missed from this week, so…  Let’s dive in!  CA Bill Silences Doctors  California Governor Gavin Newsom on Friday signed into law Assembly Bill 2098, legislation that equips the state to punish doctors who spread misinformation during interactions with patients. The bill does not apply to public comments, such as social media or interviews.  "Misinformation" is a highly dubious and debatable category. The “scientific consensus” has often expressed views relating to COVID-19 that were later contradicted. Science is a deliberative process, and medical professionals need to be allowed to dissent from mainstream orthodoxies and challenge dominant perspectives. Patients deserve expert care, but it's unreasonable for the government to compel ideological conformity in this field.   We wrote in August about the CDC’s updated COVID guidelines, which now offer the same recommendations for patients regardless of vaccination status. Under California’s new bill, many doctors could have been punished for providing information that is now accepted by the “contemporary scientific consensus.”  This is not about public health. It’s not about combating “misinformation.” It’s not about saving lives. It’s about restricting doctors to ensure that the official narrative is the only acceptable narrative.  >> [Why AB-2098 is So Dangerous]( <<   Pinkwashing: The Truth About Breast Cancer Awareness  The "War on Cancer" has been an absolute failure. You see, money, rather than moral ethics, is the deciding factor for the Cancer Industry and the Medical Mafia. To be honest, their goal is to provide temporary relief by treating the symptoms of cancer with drugs, while never addressing the cause of the cancer. Perhaps the most egregious and lewd example is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. It's officially October, which means that the Great Pink Frenzy has been unleashed.  Breast Cancer Action, a nonprofit organization known as “the watchdog of the breast cancer industry” coined the term “pinkwashing.” It happens when a company or organization claims to care about breast cancer by promoting pink ribbon products, while at the same time produces, manufactures and/or sells products that are linked to the disease. Pinkwashing is when “cause marketing” loses sight of “the cause” and is more about the bottom line – profits.   Did you know that mammograms can actually cause breast cancer? Or that Susan G. Komen’s founder and president each make well over $500,000 a year? The problem is that known breast cancer risk-reducers are missing one key element – profitability for Komen! And so, the status quo continues and pinkwashing will prevail, unless you help us spread the word far and wide.  Don’t fly blind this October...  >> [The Truth About Breast Cancer Awareness]( <<   Nordic Walking is a “Silver Bullet” for Breast Cancer Patients, Study Finds  Treatments like chemotherapy, radiation, and surgery can significantly impact quality of life for breast cancer patients. Doctors (who profit from prescribing chemotherapy) want to scare you into harsh “treatments” that can leave your body broken.  The biggest issue facing many cancer survivors is quality of life, especially for those who have undergone conventional treatments. But what if there was a fun, easy way to help heal?   Have you ever heard of Nordic walking? Research shows that this fun aerobic exercise can help breast cancer survivors heal. Not only does Nordic walking have physical benefits… It can help with emotional healing as well. Check out the full article to discover how you can heal after breast cancer.  >> [Can Walking Help Breast Cancer Patients Heal](? <<   “When governments start practicing medicine, the story never ends well.”  ~ Robert F.
