from our hearts to yours  As I (Charlene) get ready to celebrate Father’s Day in our home with Ty and our children, I want to share with you a little bit about what a good father Ty is, so much like his father and grandfather.  Ty, along with his Dad and Grandfather Conal, is rooted deeply in the Word and the Lord Jesus and lives out Biblical principles, and they all sacrificially loved their families like Jesus loves us. Ty’s Dad’s favorite Bible verses were from Psalm 1. Ty is also partial to that portion of the Scriptures. When we first got together, I fondly remember Ty explaining to me the principles in Psalm 1. In the first portion of Psalm 1 is a warning for those who walk away from the Lord along with a promised blessing for those who walk with the Lord. The warning shows us the steps of how people lose their way from God by first 1. walking with the ungodly, and then as they give the ungodly more of their heart and attention they 2. stand with them and listen. As a person gives the ungodly even more attention 3. they sit with them until they become one of them. We learn here that those who lose their way have progressed over time - their heart falls away from good by walking, standing, and finally sitting with the ungodly. At the same time, this amazing Psalm exhorts and encourages the man of God who delights in the law of the Lord and who meditates on Him day and night with a promised blessing. Not only is the faithful man blessed, but great blessings come through that man to his family and also to the world around him. Also, it is good to note that this man’s children are blessed as well with a godly heritage that will live on for many generations. I can tell you that as Ty’s wife, I am extremely blessed by Ty’s goodness, faithfulness, and his godliness. Our children are blessed, balanced, happy, and loved because of Ty’s gracious and loving spirit. Our children are the arrows in our quiver and we are getting ready to shoot them all out into the world, one by one, as warriors for the Kingdom of God - for all that is good, pure, and lovely. And they are doing well, in large part because of Ty’s faithfulness and love. Ty, Mom and Dad would be so proud of you today. Of course, they are both with Jesus and they know far more than we do. So I know they are both proud of their son. You are walking in the way of your father as he walked in the way of the Lord. Here is Psalm 1: 1 [Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.]( [2 But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.]( [3 And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.]( [4 The ungodly are not so: but are like the chaff which the wind driveth away.]( [5 Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.]( [6 For the LORD knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish.](   We are blessed to call you “Braveheart” and “Daddy” and the world is blessed because you are in it serving life faithfully every single day. Mom and Dad must be beaming in heaven over what a good and faithful son you are. You are a great brother to Ron and Cherith, a faithful grandson, and a very good friend to so many people all over the world.
