(Dr. Lee Cowden on spiritual healing) Friday August 7, 2020  {NAME},  Forgiveness is a staple of the Christian faith. We know that Christ died so we can receive forgiveness, and we know we’re called to forgive others.  But … it’s not always easy to forgive!
Especially in light of the fact that in the “last days” (according to 2 Timothy 3:2), we know that people will be “lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive…without love, unforgiving, slanderous (and) conceited.” In other words, it’s practically inevitable we’ll be hurt, offended, and attacked by others before this life is over. At our last live event in Anaheim, our good friend, Dr. Lee Cowden, lectured on the power of forgiveness. It was truly an amazing lecture, and we wanted to share it with you. >> [WATCH PART 1]( >> [WATCH PART 2]( Whether it’s letting go of a former “friend” insulting you or stabbing you in the back, or something deeper like unfaithfulness from a spouse, we’re told to forgive, and let God deal with the offenders. Forgiving does not mean that we should make light of the offense or de-value the hurt and pain we feel. It does not mean we should enable the person who wronged us, nor that there will be no consequences for the offense. And it does not mean that the relationship with the offending person is “hunky dory” after the offense, since chronic exposure to “toxic” people is harmful to us. However ... True forgiveness DOES mean that we give it to the LORD and harbor no ill-will towards those who have hurt and offended us.   Amazingly, Jesus Christ forgave the very men nailing him to the cross.  Remember Romans 12:19 -- “Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath; for it is written: “Vengeance is Mine; I will repay, saith the LORD.” God bless, P.S.
