Hi {NAME}, On this Easter Sunday 2019, we just wanted to let you know that we are so thankful for you! Some of you may be wondering … “Ty & Charlene, what exactly is Easter?”  Great Question! ;-)  Easter is one of the most well-known holidays in modern times, and just like Christmas, Easter is celebrated by Christians and non-Christians alike.  Based on a Statista survey, [Forbes.com]( reported that 84% of Americans intended to celebrate Easter in 2018.  Generally observed traditions across the globe include the Easter bunny, colored eggs, gift baskets, and flowers.   In Poland on Easter Monday, boys try to soak people with buckets or water.  In Greece, the morning of Holy Saturday is known as the annual "pot throwing" where residents throw pots out of windows.  In Tennessee (here in the Bollinger household) and across the Christian world, Easter is the celebration of the resurrection of Jesus (the “lamb” of God) on the third day after his crucifixion.   The early Christians began remembering the Resurrection every Sunday following its occurrence, and in 325 A.D., the Council of Nicaea set aside a special day just to celebrate the Resurrection. We leave you with these poignant words from Franklin Graham: “We must not forget that it wasn’t the Jews that put him on the cross, and it wasn’t the Romans. It was my sins, it was your sins, the sins of this world.” May God bless you on this Easter Sunday and may you be thankful for the gift of family, friends, life, love, and joy! Easter Blessings, Ty & Charlene P.S. Remember … it’s not about the bunny, it’s about the Lamb. P.P.S.
