These are the two levels to watch in the S&P 500 (SPY) to start the week. [] We will either congest in this range or start working toward taking out Friday’s high. Until we do, consider that high to be strong resistance in the near term. I discussed the next Consumer Price Index data coming at 8:30 a.m. ET on Tuesday in my morning video. The SPY is trying to fight off the bears and Consumer Discretionary is now leading ahead. That’s a good sign heading into the CPI number, which of course measures inflation. Small caps (IWM) were also outperforming large caps by a big margin Monday morning, which tells us the market may be gaining strength. Crypto stocks are also really strong right now.
