Now, let’s be clear… There’s no way the Fed is going to cut rates on Wednesday, so let’s just forget about that right now. I fully expect volume to pick up as the week goes on, so let’s take a look at market momentum and some stocks on my hitlist… The market is showing positive momentum with about 120 stocks hitting 90-day highs. This indicates a healthy upward trajectory, but we must have a balanced perspective. Although there's limited downside follow-through,we need to remember that downside stocks naturally generate momentum due to fear — a stronger motivator than greed in financial markets. Eli Lilly and My Other Top Semiconductor Stock Several stocks and sectors stand out in the current market environment… Eli Lilly (LLY) has been capturing attention with promising updates on its Alzheimer’s drug, highlighting its potential as a key player in the Health Care sector. Semiconductors (SMH) are leading the market — no surprise there with Nvidia’s (NVDA) big stock split on Monday — with the Information Technology and Health Care sectors closely following. NVDA aside, ON Semiconductor (ON) is my top play there, and I see traders riding this sector as long as it keeps giving us gains.
