Why It’s Time to Be Very Careful in This Market

We could see a nice bounce in the Dow, which has been underperforming of late, and non-tech-related stocks… And this is playing out in real time so far this morning with the Dow up 70 points while the Nasdaq is down BIG, about 1.3%. Tech is NOT our friend right now, and that means the wings on this rally are likely going to be clipped. Now, I’m not saying there’s some big sell-off coming. But there are a ton of stocks breaking down, and it’s going to be hard for them to change their trajectory with one positive report that came this morning in the form of the latest Personal Income and Overlays. While it did give stocks a premarket bump this morning, the report wasn’t all that great. The VIX fell but quickly filled the gap higher, and we have a ton of resistance at these levels — [levels I covered in my Premarket Must Watch session.]( Bonds also have more downside because there’s still a 12% chance the Fed will cut rates, even though we all know that’s not going to happen. To wrap things up, this all means that it’s time to be very, very careful. Don’t let the market trick you — wait for confirmation of upside before entering trades.
