The Key, Tradable SPY Level to Watch Tuesday

Bonds are breaching support, which will put pressure on the stock market, but here’s a caveat… Bonds have been very wrong for the past several months in terms of timing. I know some people don’t like to hear this, but the U.S. economy is strong. Case in point, Monday’s ISM Manufacturing Index was strong and jobless claims are low. Economic activity is declining some, but not by much. We gapped down on the open and I’m looking for a base and for stocks to move higher once we reach that level. I’m not seeing any major downside warnings at the moment, even with the market down big so far today or cracks in the foundation other than outside the bond market (TLT) and insurance stocks due to fundamental changes in Fed policy. Keep an eye today on the $518.47 level in the S&P 500 ETF (SPY). If we break above that level, we’ll go higher and start to fill the gap back up. Back in late December during my Turning Point 2024 event, one of my big projections for the new year was that Humana (HUM) is my No. 1 weakest stock.
