[Image](?awt_a=5793&awt_l=GfkcQ&awt_m=3lke2aY0QxkG893) Hey Traders, Yesterday there were without a doubt some traders that got their feelings hurt. The Nasdaq was down 5% and is down 1% pre market. Opportunity or first crack in the dam? I tend to think it is reasonable to assume the Nasdaq will touch the 50 day moving average this month which we are currently 5% above that level. Simple mean reversion. Most of the times corrections or pullbacks are a good thing..Here is what you need to ask yourself.. 1. What stocks do I want to own that I feel I missed on this mega tech rally? Maybe that stock will come to you. 2. What stocks were up yesterday? This is how I farm the list during pull backs. I might start with a watch list of 20....and as the sell off continues I continue to shed stocks from the list that are getting hit the hardest. I could end up with 5. FOCUS ON THE FIVE. Those are usually some nice winners in the next uptrend because the smart money was unwilling to get rid of those shares during the sell off. Follow the smart money. Cloud computing stocks have been the major parabolic bright spot in this rally...the WCLD was down over 8% yesterday. There is no free lunch. However, there are a lot of themes that are still extended like solar and clean energy that I believe have multi year potential (especially with a new commander in chief) that you might want to put on your watch list for a deeper pull back [WATCH TOP ETFs of the Week]( Sincerely, Steven Cawiezell steven@thetradersplan.com Dislosure You are responsible for your own trading decisions.
