Hi Tristam, Lately I've been getting more and more people writing to me asking for help with their mindset and habits. Day Trading is such a mind game. Once we learn to play the game the RIGHT way, the path to profits is EASY. Most tell me that they’re not able to stick to their strategy because their emotions and ego (and other mind deceiving verbiage) gets the better of them. In other words, they get in their own way. I HAVE SOOOO BEEN THERE!!! I still find myself spiraling in that direction when I stop practicing the mindset habits I learned from my friend Norman years ago - but I give myself grace because we're all human, and it happens to the best of us. The good news is, when you realize you’re doing it, you then have the power to begin changing that behavior and stopping it (or redirecting it) and that can be the difference between winning and losing. My biggest breakthroughs with my mindset came from finding The Disciplined Trader - with Norman Hallett. I swear when I found this guy, I thought he was talking directly to me. It was as if he knew exactly what I was going through! The thing is, he did know. He had been there too. I remember one day in particular . . . I was in the LIVE market chasing trades and revenge trading. The trades that I chased FAILED, I managed to turn off my charts and decided to watch Norman’s ‘4 Minute Drill’ Video. This one in particular was about taking winning trades. Of course we all want to ONLY take winning trades, but for me it hit a nerve. And also made me realize how TRIGGER HAPPY I had been with my trades. In other words, I was shooting at every mediocre, half-assed looking trade. And it wasn’t working for me (obviously). I kid you not, I was taking 20 - 30 trades per day, within a 2 hour session. Which is obscene! Listening to Norman’s video, and opening my eyes to my wretched reality, I decided to put limitations on myself for trading. After Nroman’s video my NEW focus was on just 2 trades per day. (TWO) It was so difficult. But having that mindset shift and forcing myself to only take 2 per day, to break my Trigger-happy-habit was one of the best things I ever did. Coupled with my unique trading strategies it became my winning combination. It was a big a-ha moment. I want the same a-ha moment for you. Success can be yours consistently when you have the right strategy coupled with the right mindset practice. I reached out to Norman and now, I am doing a Masterclass with him (I honestly can't believe this!!!!) This is a rare chance to be able to share with you my best insider secrets.
