What's he saying? Gaetz said McCarthy’s agreement with the Democrats was the “last straw” and said he plans to file a motion to vacate McCarthy this week. McCarthy said, “bring it on.” In order to pull this off, Gaetz needs 218 House members on his side. Gaetz might have to work with some Dems to make this happen — the same thing he judged McCarthy for. Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) said she would “absolutely” vote to oust McCarthy.
