Is this email not displaying correctly? [View it in your browser.]( [SHARE THIS]( [SHARE THIS]( Skimm for February 14th Skimm’d with a [bourbon milkshake]( QUOTE OF THE DAY “We’re taking our identity back and reclaiming who we are” - [Hugh Hefner’s son](. Playboy’s bringing back nude photos, a year after dropping them to go after a more mainstream audience. So brave. Skimm This[Like Us]( with Us]( [Insta This]( BACK TO DECEMBER THE STORY Last night, [National Security Adviser Michael Flynn resigned](. WAIT…REMIND ME. Last December, former President Obama slapped Russia with [sanctions]( interfering with the presidential election. The intelligence community says Russia did this to boost President Trump’s odds of winning. Then last month, it came out that Flynn had been in touch with the Russian ambassador to the US [on the same day]( sanctions were announced. Flynn denied that they discussed the sanctions. VP Mike Pence publicly defended him, based on info Flynn had given him. WHAT HAPPENED NEXT? Last week, US officials said ‘actually...’ Flynn and the Russian ambassador DID [discuss the sanctions.]( Flynn may have hinted that the incoming Trump administration would be open to lifting them. Problem, since Flynn wasn’t working for the White House yet - and there’s a law against regular citizens participating in foreign relations discussions. Cue a lot of speculation that he was on his way out for lying. SO WHAT’S THE LATEST? Last night, it came out that the Justice Department [warned the Trump administration last month]( Flynn misled them about the phone calls. And that this could expose him to blackmail by the Russians. It’s unclear what the White House did with that info. Yesterday, Flynn said he “inadvertently briefed” Pence and others with “incomplete information” on his calls with the Russian ambassador. theSKIMM It’s unusual for a senior team member to exit the White House less than a month after a new president is sworn in. And there are still lots of questions without answers.  Skimm This[Like Us]( with Us]( REPEAT AFTER ME... WHAT TO SAY TO YOUR FRIEND WHO LOVES ANY COFFEE SHOP THAT GIVES FREE REFILLS… Verizon’s living that unlimited life too. Again. Yesterday, the company realized it’s 2017 and [brought back unlimited data plans.]( A few years ago, major cell carriers - [including Verizon]( - dumped unlimited data options because too many people started living that smartphone life. Aka it became really expensive to give them all endless access to the Interwebs. Fast forward to now, and smartphones are still very much a thing. And no one appreciates a data limit seven eps into “Stranger Things.” Smaller companies like T-Mobile and Sprint have been making moves on Verizon customers by offering unlimited data again. Even the [“can you hear me now?”]( guy can’t stop talking about it. Now it looks like Verizon got the text message. Skimm This[Like Us]( with Us]( WHAT TO SAY WHEN YOU TRY TO BOIL WATER IN A POT THAT’S TOO SMALL… Overflow. Earlier this week, almost 200,000 people living near Northern California’s Oroville Dam [were forced to evacuate.]( The dam is the tallest in the US and helps contain a man-made lake. Except lately, California’s been hit by heavy rain storms. And the lake went from glass half full to glass too full. Officials [used a spillway]( (think: a water slide used for getting rid of extra water) to keep the dam from overflowing. And then realized the spillway was damaged, meaning water could potentially flood into nearby communities. Aaaand cue mass evacuations. The good news: officials are keeping the water level down for now. The bad news: rain is in the forecast for later this week. An umbrella may not help. Skimm This[Like Us]( with Us]( WHAT TO SAY WHEN THE APPLE FALLS FROM THE TREE... Didn’t have to go far. Yesterday, Jeffrey Sandusky - Jerry Sandusky’s son - [was arrested and charged with child sex abuse.]( If this sounds awfully familiar, it is. Jeffrey’s dad is the former Penn State assistant football coach who was [found guilty]( in 2012 of sexually abusing young boys for years. He’s serving up to 60 years in prison. Now, Jeffrey’s accused of doing things like asking a minor to send him nude photographs and asking for sex from minors. Just…ugh. [Mr. November’s about to play a new position.]( Skimm This[Like Us]( with Us]( THING TO KNOW [Self-kissing:]( as sad as it sounds.
