[zitsticka]( But first: [your acne is canceled]( ---------------------------------------------------------------
[Update location]( or [View forecast]( EDITORâS NOTE Happy Sunday. After reading about how more and more [owls are acting as ring bearers]( at British weddings, I was hoping there might be one at the â[most royal non-royal wedding of the year](.â Instead, it seems the most surprising thing was the [brideâs dark, chunky-heeled shoes](. (Perhaps she was trying TikTokâs â[Wrong Shoe Theory](.â) And speaking of surprising, check out the [new flavor of Goldfish crackers](. Same with this apparently [polarizing pickle pizza](. As for other things I didnât want to like as much as I do, â[The Spark](,â is being called the song of the summer. But TBD if that lasts now that [Sabrina Carpenterâs new single and music video]( is here (thatâs one way to hard launch your relationship). â Melissa Goldberg / Senior Editor / Washington, DC [Deeply important information] ð Gwyneth Paltrow is selling â[the house that Goop built](.â Hereâs hoping she leaves behind a few [vagina candles]( for the new owner. ð¦ [Step aerobics]( have gotten a spicy rebrand, apparently. Just make sure to [pack a tutu](. ð Could former âReal Housewives of New York Cityâ star Luann de Lesseps be the [modern-day Carrie Bradshaw](? If so, weâre gonna need her to weigh in on â[Hot Rodent Boyfriends](.â ð The era of â[holecare](â is upon us. Yes, that hole. [I can't look away.][Left: Pat McAfee. Right: Stephen A. Smith.] Breaking news: Men on TV seemingly donât know how to talk about womenâs sports â and it shows. Just take a look at this past week, which started with Pat McAfee, reportedly [the highest-paid ESPN media personality](, casually calling WNBA star Caitlin Clark a â[white b*tch](.â In a surprise to no one, the comments [didnât go over well](, leading McAfee to quickly apologize, saying he had intended to be â[complimentary](â (how???). But McAfee wasnât the only man to put his foot in his mouth. That same day, ESPNâs âFirst Takeâ co-host Stephen A. Smith [got in a heated exchange]( with basketball analyst Monica McNutt, after he asked, âWho talks more about the WNBA ⦠who talks about womenâs sports more than âFirst Takeâ?â McNuttâs response: âRespectfully, with your platform, you could have been doing this three years ago if you wanted to.â (It was one of the rare occasions where Smith seemed speechless â that is, until later that day when he spent much of [his daily podcast]( talking about her âhighly offensiveâ comment.) But itâs not just the dudes at ESPN whose lack of womenâs sports expertise is showing. Thanks to the exploding popularity of the WNBA (not to mention, standouts like Clark and Angel Reese) male commentators across sports media have become self-styled WNBA experts overnight â after not covering the league for decades. And they havenât hesitated to share theirâ¦thoughts. Theyâve [suggested the WNBA was uninteresting]( up until this year. Theyâve apparently amplified [false drama]( between players. Theyâve even offered unsolicited advice on how women should behave. (Thanks, [Charles Barkley](.) Luckily, thereâs an easy solution: Hire more female sportscasters to cover the league instead. We hear there are some [pretty qualified candidates]( out there. [Need something to watch.][Glenn Powell and Adria Arjona in Netflixâs âHit Manâ] As a general â OK, highly unscientific and subjective â rule, you can usually count on films inspired by magazine articles to be good (see: â[The Bling Ring](â), if not great (see: â[Hustlers](,â â[Coyote Ugly](â). And Netflixâs â[Hit Man](,â is no exception. Loosely based on a [Texas Monthly article](, Richard Linklaterâs dark comedy stars Glen Powell as Gary Johnson, an unassuming, Honda Civicâdriving professor who moonlights with the New Orleans Police Department as a fake assassin. When Johnson falls for a woman (Adria Arjona) who hires him, trouble ensues â complete with forbidden romance, secret identities, and at least one very questionable wig. If thatâs not enough to convince you, maybe [Powell]( (who co-wrote and co-produced the film) will: âItâs the movie equivalent of a belly rub.â Say no more. [Wait, how do I get this dog's life?][Demi Moore and her dog Pilaf] In the latest edition of [The Adventures of Pilaf]( (aka, Demi Mooreâs teacup chihuahua), mom and dog went to see the West End production of âRomeo & Juliet.â According to Moore, Pilaf was â[quite moved](â by Tom Hollandâs performance and thought it âwas extraordinary.â As to how Moore knows that, we can only assume the two had achieved dog-owner telepathy after [going nearly everywhere together](. That includes cheering on Rafael Nadal at [the 2022 French Open](, sitting front row at [Milan Fashion Week](, seeing the â[Mona Lisa](,â and walking the red carpet at the [Cannes Film Festival](. Naturally, that got us thinking about all the other [celeb pets who live(d) better lives than us](: Oprahâs dog Luke has [flown private]( (the nervous flier even had [his own seemingly human-sized bed](). Choupette, the beloved cat of the late Karl Lagerfeld, [had two personal maids]( responsible for playing with and grooming her. And who could forget the home of Paris Hiltonâs dogs: a [300-square-foot dog mansion]( that included air conditioning and designer furniture. Talk about sliving. [Credit to this kid.][Representative John Rose (R-TN) delivering a floor speech, as his son, Guy Rose, makes funny faces.] Thank you, [Guy Rose](, for bringing the country together. Even if it was only for five minutes.
