Why? There are new regulations (PSD2) to make buying online more secure. They will come into place as part of Strong Customer Authentication (SCA) from 14th September 2019. SCA aims to reduce fraud and increase your security by making transactions more robust and secure whilst also improving your user experience. SCA will only apply when you make an online payment in Europe. What? You may be asked to provide at least 2 of the following things when making a payment online: - INHERENCE - Something only you are. E.g., fingerprint OR iris scan. - POSSESSION - Something only you have. E.g., mobile registered with your bank OR credit card. - KNOWLEDGE - Something only you know. E.g., password OR pin. How?
