Biden snaps at reporter after student debt handout defeat Today In America Your Opinion   Will Biden and Democrats Succeed In Forcing Trump To Drop Out Of 2024 Election? [Yes, They Will →]( [No, They Will Not →](   Biden snaps at reporter after student debt handout defeat President Biden snapped at Fox News White House correspondent Jacqui Heinrich on Friday after she pressed him over why he gave "false hope" to Americans who believed they would receive a student loan handout by his executive order, which was struck down by the Supreme Court.   On Friday, the court ruled in a 6-3 decision that federal law does not allow Biden's secretary of education to cancel more than $430 billion in student loan debt. Following his remarks reacting to the ruling, Heinrich asked the president why he gave millions of borrowers "false hope," citing his past comments doubting his own authority to enact the order without Congress.   "I didn't give any false hope," Biden sternly responded. "The question was whether or not I would do even more than was requested. What I did I thought it was appropriate and was able to be done and would get done."   "I didn't give false hope, but the Republicans snatched away the hope that they were given. And it's real, real hope," he added.   Here are some facts about July 2   - 1937 - Amelia Earhart and her navigator Frederick Noonan go missing during their attempt to fly around the world between New Guinea, and Howland Island, an island in the center of the Pacific Ocean. No trace of the aircraft including Earhart or Noonan was ever found. - 1964 - The Civil Rights Act of 1964 is signed into law by President Johnson. The bill had a rough time going through the Senate when the "Southern Bloc" of southern Senators led by Richard Russell launched a filibuster lasting 54 days to prevent its passage. Said Russell "We will resist to the bitter end any measure or any movement which would have a tendency to bring about social equality and intermingling and amalgamation of the races in our (Southern) states." The Civil Rights Act of 1964 was a landmark piece of legislation that outlawed segregation in schools, public places, and employment. The bill also created the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission covering both race and gender for the first time in history. - 2001 - The release of the movie The Fast and the Furious which tops the number 1 spot in it's first week and continues to be in the top 2 has given a big boost to the latest craze to sweep America "illegal street racing" with thousands of enthusiasts dodging the police and racing on streets around the country vying for the bragging rights, who's got the fastest car.   Regards, Team Spin ⚡  [signature] [Unsubscribe from these emails](
