Also, Christmas travel is here: What you can expect this holiday season December 14, 2023 [THE POINTS GUY]( [View in browser]( [TPG Daily Newsletter]( TOGETHER WITH [Partner Logo]( [THE POINTS GUY]( TOGETHER WITH [Partner Logo]( Not seeing double (cash back) by Cameron Sperance, Senior Hotels Reporter [TPG | Hero Image] The [Chase Freedom Unlimited]( launched a promotion for double cash back for new cardholders in mid-October. Chase will automatically match the cash earned (with no limit!) in the first 12 months of having your new card. But TPG readers have messaged us to say they aren’t seeing those double earnings hit their accounts. We dug into it and have to say [you shouldn’t be worried](. Regular cash back earned on the Chase Freedom Unlimited should post to your account shortly after each billing cycle closes. But double cash back is only awarded at the end of your first year, per the fine print. Give it about six to eight weeks from the end of your first anniversary. Be patient, and if you don’t already have a Chase Freedom Unlimited, consider applying. This is one of the best offers we’ve seen for the card, and we don’t expect it to last for long.
