Also: Get up to 30% more value from your rewards with these transfer bonuses November 9, 2023 [THE POINTS GUY]( [View in browser]( [TPG Daily Newsletter]( TOGETHER WITH [Partner Logo]( [THE POINTS GUY]( TOGETHER WITH [Partner Logo]( How to keep track of your luggage this holiday season by Caroline Tanner, News Reporter [TPG | Hero Image] Can you believe the holiday season is nearly upon us? Ahead of some of the year’s busiest travel days, we’re here to help. Not unlike the inevitable stress that seems to come with the holiday season, the stress I feel knowing some of you will insist on checking a bag during holiday travel always seems to come when I write this newsletter. While I do not personally support checking luggage, I do support your decision to do so, and thus will provide all the tips and tricks I know to ensure your baggage arrives safely at your final destination. If you will be flying one of the major U.S. airlines this holiday season or beyond, you’re in luck, as American Airlines, Delta Air Lines and United Airlines all offer a [tool for flyers to track their checked baggage]( in flight, online or via their mobile apps. Keeping up with the Big Three, Southwest Airlines unveiled its own [tracking tool last month](. If you are not familiar with these tools, you can find them online for all of the above airlines, minus United, which only offers it in-app. Simply search for language related to “track my bags,” where you’ll be prompted to enter some combination of your bag tag number and/or confirmation number. Whether you are flying one of the aforementioned airlines or if you simply want more peace of mind, remember that Apple AirTags exist and are not airline-specific. Simply use this device, the size of a quarter, to track your luggage via your Apple devices, thanks to its Bluetooth capabilities. When regularly priced, a [single Apple AirTag]( costs around $28, or you can get a [four-pack for around $86]( which is on sale from the regular $99.
