by Cameron Sperance, Senior Hotels Reporter
[TPG | Hero Image] Some of the biggest names in travel took part in the Skift Global Forum last week, and much was discussed on the future of travel. If youâre expecting [artificial intelligence to take over your travel experience]( youâre not wrong. But leaders like [Hilton CEO Christopher Nassetta]( and Airbnb co-founder and CEO Brian Chesky both say we're likely a decade away from seeing the type of transformation many people expect to grip the industry. The era of more budget travel options is also likely here to stay, with Nassetta discussing his companyâs push into more affordable brands like the recently launched Spark â a premium economy hotel brand â and Project H3, the working title for Hiltonâs new extended-stay brand. Hyatt also launched its own affordable extended-stay brand, Hyatt Studios, in recent months. But it's more than hotels going the budget route: [Breeze Airways founder and CEO David Neeleman]( also chatted about his new airlineâs place in the ultra-low-cost-carrier orbit that includes competitors like Avelo Airlines and Allegiant Air.
