Also: Earn 150,000 Hilton Honors bonus points and a free night with the Hilton Honors Amex Business card May 17, 2023 [THE POINTS GUY]( [View in browser]( [TPG Daily NEWSLETTER]( [THE POINTS GUY]( EARN BONUS POINTS AT AMAZON THIS GRADUATION SEASON by Emily Thompson, Credit Cards Writer [TPG | Hero Image] With Mother’s Day behind us, graduation season is in full swing. Normally, the month of May sneaks up on me and I end up rushing to the store to get last-minute gifts (sorry, Mom!) or just grabbing a gift card and heading out the door. But this year, Amazon is one of the bonus categories on the [Chase Freedom Flex card]( so I’m taking full advantage of the chance to earn 5 points per dollar (on up to $1,500 in purchases) by getting all my gifts from Amazon. It’s easy to check a graduate’s Amazon wish list, type a gift note and have it delivered to their door. And when a celebration sneaks up on me, giving gift cards is even faster on Amazon. I love that I can choose the amount, add an occasion-appropriate graphic, and schedule the day of the email gift card delivery to the recipient. If I only had the Chase Freedom Flex, I could redeem the points I earn on these purchases for cash back, gift cards or travel through the Chase travel portal. But since I also have the [Chase Sapphire Preferred]( I can pool my points and make them even more valuable by transferring them to Chase’s travel partners, like Hyatt or United. Thanks to this strategy, the graduates in my life aren’t the only ones getting rewarded this month. - [Earn 5% back at Amazon and Lowe’s through June (Chase Freedom/Freedom Flex)]( - [How I’m maxing out the Chase Freedom rotating category at Amazon this quarter]( - [Chase Freedom Flex card review]( - [How to transfer Ultimate Rewards between accounts]( Posts in this newsletter contains references to products from one or more of our advertisers.
