Delta Air Lines' longtime main hub claimed the top spot for world’s busiest airport for years [apart from 2020]( when the pandemic meant Atlanta lost its crown to China’s Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport (CAN). But it has been back to business as usual, and [Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL) once again took the top spot for 2022]( the Airports Council International announced this month. It was a strong year for U.S. airports, as Dallas Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) and Denver International Airport (DEN) rounded out the top three.
