Kennedy International Airport (JFK), fewer ways for air travelers to get to the Caribbean and South America, and a warning to travelers visiting Mexico. New York's Metropolitan Transportation Authority opened a new Grand Central Madison station (beneath the Grand Central Terminal) that can get travelers between midtown Manhattan and Jamaica, Queens, and then [on to JFK via the AirTrain for as little as $13](. This is particularly good news for anyone who has ever had to pay upward of $100 using Uber or Lyft to get to the airport from midtown. On the other end of the spectrum, [American Airlines is cutting routes]( to Culiacan, Mexico; Samana, Dominican Republic; and San Andres Island, Colombia. The routes were fairly new (all were added in 2021), but the lack of demand and the current pilot shortages were to blame.
