Also: Japan's hotel labor shortage [The Points Guy]( WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW TODAY Oct 11, 2022 CELEBRATE THE TPG AWARDS THIS DECEMBER The arrival of fall doesn’t just mean cooler weather and all things pumpkin. It also means that the TPG Awards are coming! Today, we’re not only [launching voting]( for our 15 Readers’ Choice categories. We’re also thrilled to announce that for the first time in three years, we’re back to an in-person celebration, which will be held in New York City on Wednesday, Dec. 7. Even more exciting? We’ll be opening up tickets to the event to you, our readers. But I’m getting ahead of myself. For now, we need your help selecting the credit cards, loyalty programs, cruise lines and other brands that deserve recognition at this year’s awards. Voting is now available through [this link]( and it’ll remain open through 11:59 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 11. Like in previous years, we’re limiting voting to once per person, but we’re also giving away several prizes — including TPG merchandise, ExpertFlyer memberships and even a trip for two to attend the awards — to randomly selected voters each week. In addition, we’re adding a new charity component to the voting process this year. When you [complete your ballot]( TPG will donate $1 on your behalf to Make-A-Wish — up to $50,000 in all. In other words, you can have a say in this year’s award winners, win a prize and support a worthy cause just by casting a vote for the Readers’ Choice categories. The earlier you vote, the more chances you’ll have to win, so [complete your ballot]( today! Then, stay tuned for more details on how (and when) you can purchase tickets to the Dec. 7 event. We look forward to celebrating with many of you in New York!
