Ending soon: Best offer in years on the Capital One Venture Rewards September 5, 2024 [THE POINTS GUY]( [View in browser]( [TPG Daily NEWSLETTER]( [THE POINTS GUY]( Move over, Delta and Virgin Atlantic by Ben Smithson, Senior Writer [TPG | Hero Image] If you’ve become frustrated with the high redemption costs Delta SkyMiles charges or the [four-figure surcharges]( from Virgin Atlantic Flying Club, I’ve found a solution from two of their partner airlines. While Delta SkyMiles [recently discounted]( some basic economy and Main Cabin seats, business-class rates to destinations like Europe can still be 600,000-plus miles round-trip thanks to Delta Air Lines' notorious dynamic pricing. It has TPG valuing SkyMiles at just 1.2 cents each in our [September 2024 valuations](. Unlike Delta SkyMiles, the [Air France-KLM Flying Blue]( loyalty program prices business-class flights from North America to Europe from just 50,000 miles. Availability this summer, including during popular events like the 2024 Paris Olympics, has been great. Not to mention, redemption rates on SkyTeam partner airlines like Delta Air Lines, Virgin Atlantic and China Airlines are also reasonable. Why else have I grown to love Flying Blue? It is the only airline loyalty program to partner directly with [all six transferable credit card currencies]( and there are regular [transfer bonuses]( so it is easy to earn lots of miles quickly. Add in the fun [monthly Promo Rewards]( that include economy flights to Europe for as little as 15,000 miles each way, Air France’s swanky new business-class suites and [KLM’s outstanding premium economy product]( and it's easy to understand how Flying Blue remains an excellent loyalty program with a higher points valuation of 1.3 cents in our monthly valuations.
