by Sean Cudahy, Aviation Reporter
[TPG | Hero Image] Today could be one of the busiest days ever at U.S. airports as the Memorial Day weekend (and summer) travel rush kicks off in earnest. In fact, the crowds have already been pretty staggering: Last Friday and Sunday were the fourth- and fifth-most crowded days Transportation Security Administration checkpoints have ever seen. All signs point to a record-breaking season for air travel, and some exciting new business-class products have finally arrived. Thatâs good news, whether youâre planning a big-ticket splurge for a summer trip or have your sights on [earning (and redeeming) a big haul of points or miles]( for your travels. TPG was recently on board Lufthansaâs inaugural flight with its long-awaited â[Allegris]( cabin, featuring a whopping seven different seat types in the business cabin â all with lie-flat accommodations. Another canât-miss: Hawaiian Airlines' much-anticipated 787 Dreamliners, [complete with all-new suites]( and a rich, tropical design on board. Something else to look forward to: American Airlines is planning to welcome its new [Flagship Suite Preferred]( seats to its fleet at some point â though when is the big question. Dreamliner delivery delays at Boeing have pushed that timeline back a bit. Hoping to book one of these suites without shelling out a ton of cash? Today at noon EDT, tune in for a free live webinar with TPGâs experts, where you can ask questions about jump-starting your points and miles strategy and choosing the right card.
