Here’s what we got on deck for you today: 💣 Rivian Shares Drop 4% Amid Supply Chain Shortage 🔽 💣 Consumer Sentiment Rebounds After Five-Month Decline 📈 💣 Video: How To Start A Money Press Trade | Step By Step ✍ Markets At A Glance🔎 As of August 19, 2024, 10:50 AM MST Treasure Hunting Climate 📈 Welcome to a new week of trading and investing! The market continues to bounce off of the August 5th lows (the day of the massive global sell-off) and keeps flashing more and more bullish signs. The S&P 500 and the Nasdaq have pushed above their 50 Day Moving Averages and have seen steady bullish action these last two weeks. We are feeling more confident in the recent bullish momentum, but with the market being up 9 out of the last 11 trading days, we are looking for a little breather/profit taking to hit at some point in the near future. In short, we are feeling a bit "over stretched" to the upside here. If we see a few days of a dip/pullback, it could set us up nicely for some new positions. Fed Chair Jerome Powell will speak Friday morning in Jackson Hole, Wyoming at the annual economic policy symposium which could add some volatility to the markets. Next week, NVDA's earnings will most likely be the main focus of the markets. NVDA reports Wednesday the 28th after the close. See you all next week! View From The Crow's Nest 👀 Rivian Shares Drop 4% Amid Supply Chain Shortage 🔽 Rivian has paused production of Amazon delivery vans due to a parts shortage, causing shares to drop 4%. The production halt is the latest in Rivian's ongoing supply chain challenges, similar to other EV makers facing supplier shortages.
