Here’s what we got on deck for you today: 💣 What To Look Out For This Week In the Stock Market 🔎 💣 Netflix Stock Plummets due to Revenue Forecast ⬇️ 💣 Video: How to Start Trading the Money Press 💸 Markets At A Glance🔎 As of April 22, 2024, 12:11 PM MST Treasure Hunting Climate 📈 Last week the broad markets continued their selloff. We saw the Nasdaq realize one of its worst weeks since 2022. After the strong bull run from the lows in October 2022, we knew the market was needing to go through some profit taking at some point. (we'd mentioned that many times the last month or so in this newsletter) Remember, a "market correction" is defined as a 10% drop from the top of the market. The S&P 500 is down around 5% as of today/Monday, April 22nd. We are closely watching to see if this drop will turn into a deeper move downward. We may see the markets continue lower to find that approximate 10% "correction" level or if this is a shorter lived "pullback" before the uptrend resumes. For now, we are still being defensive with our portfolios. We are definitely stretched to the downside and will analyze any bounce to see if it is a reversal or just a pause before more selling resumes. Hopefully these posts have been helpful so you can navigate weeks like these with a little more confidence! See you next week! View From The Crow's Nest 👀 What To Look Out For This Week In The Stock Market 🔎 Market rally at vulnerable point: S&P 500 drops below 5,000 for first time since February. Nasdaq Composite down over 5% on the week, while Dow remains flat. This week, economic growth, inflation readings, and Big Tech earnings will decide the market's course. Tech earnings reports disappointed last week, but expectations remain high for Meta, Microsoft, and Alphabet.
