Hey, it's Mark! Don't know if you caught this email I sent you last week? I know how busy you can get and this email got a lot of great feedback from people, so i thought it was a good idea to send it again incase you might have missed it? Check it out below.... – Mark ==== PREVIOUS MESSAGE ==== Scott was trapped... Mid 40’s and in a job that just about covered the bills and just occasionally a little luxury... 20 years doing the same thing, handcuffed to his desk... He listened everyday to young managers, fresh out of college, who could barely shave telling him how to do his job... The same job he’d been doing before they were out of diapers... There was no room for promotion at his company and too old for a change career now... He felt like an obsolete part of a machine they no longer made pieces for... Scott prided himself on standing on his own two feet... He hated seeing him family go without and always having to stretch and struggle... He craved to make a decent income... To create a little financial independence for himself and his family... Topping up the savings accounts might take away the constanting worry eating him on the inside should there be a family emergency... That’s when he discovered Forex... Being a numbers guy, he enjoyed pouring over price charts and monitoring the markets... Staring out of his office window and on the daily commute to work he would fantasize... Leaving behind his stuffy office, noose tight tie and stiff white dress shirt... Throwing on a baggy t-shirt and a worn pair of comfy old Levis... Swapping his 40 minute commute for a 40 second one from the bedroom to kitchen table... Opening up his laptop, making his trades for the day and clocking out by 2pm... Perhaps going for an afternoon swim or jog around the park? It had been his dream to pick up the guitar, perhaps taking some lessons? He had enough time to do all that before he got home to play with the kids, enjoy a delicious family dinner and share a glass of wine with his Lover and talk about their day... ... YET in reality? It was hard enough to find the time and energy after Scott’s employer had taken their pound of flesh each day without...  Scott’s partner resenting the time he spent studying and trading in front of his laptop in the evenings... Sadly, they didn’t share Scott’s dream or vision... To them, trading felt like an endless money pit and who would want to keep throwing good money after bad? Scott couldn’t argue with that... Trading on and off for decades, yet while Scott had sky high dreams, he’d never been able to make significant gains to back it up... You see, it was a downwards cycle... Scott had no really strategy or plan he was working too.. Any trades he placed he was uncertain about... Somewhere between a lack of a plan and a lack of confidence Scott never traded with much money... And that meant he would need to pull off “unicorn like trades” consistently to make any real money, build his confidence and prove to the doubters the dream was still possible... And of course, this never happened... Scott’s unrealistic expectations, lack of a plan and lack of confidence saw his account look like it had taken a beating from Mike Tyson... I get a lot of people in Scott’s position and they come to me with a question... “Was does it take Mark to make a full time living from trading and to be truly free?” In a word? CERTAINTY. If you’re not certain in your trading plan... You’re not going to take action on it, or you will, but you won’t follow through and then tell yourself... “I was right! It’s another scam, the little guy like me can’t really make any money in FX!” This is the reason I started the Pattern Trader... I saw good hard working people with unrealistic expectations and a BAD PLAN... Trying to win on every trade, or the majority of them, and then feeling like they had to been kicked to the floor when that plan didn’t work out... That’s never been my style... I’m always on the look out for one or two trades each month that extend for BIG GAINS... 200, 300, 400 pip gains... And sometimes we hit out of the park with 700, 1000 or 3000 pip gains which is a good day :-) Think of like this... If I told you about a faulty vegas slot machine... Where every 10 bets you made, on the 8th or 9th it would empty out the entire machine... Would you be willing to sink 8 quarters into it to hit a big pay day? This has been my methodology. However... When you’ve learnt and mastered my patterns... Trading goes from “gambling” with your money to a “science” anyone can learn... Just like Michael Jordan lost 300 games and is still considered one of greatest players of all time.. Your approach to losing trades, minimizing the risk and having a trading plan you’re confident in determines whether you’ll be financially free... If you’re account is bleeding losses... If you’ve no confidence in your trading plan...
