However, last month, the county abruptly put the kibosh on this symbol of national pride, claiming concerns over public safety due to alleged proximity to nearby properties and highways. According to officials, the towering flagpole lacked necessary permits – despite having stood tall without incident until now. San Joaquin County defended its actions stating, “Camping World’s flagpole was installed with neither a building permit nor planning approval, therefore they are in conversation with the code enforcement division.” Undeterred, Camping World CEO Marcus Lemonis refused to back down from showcasing America's colors. In fact, after initially complying with removal orders, he defiantly reinstated the Stars-and-Stripes earlier this week.
