February 29, 2024 | [Read Online]( More Confirmation the Market Doesn't Care About Data The S&P 500 and bond markets were both rallying this morning - the markets shrugged off a higher-than-expected reading of the PCE. If you remember, yesterday I said Nvidia was at risk of hitting a critical level. It did hit that number today but managed to catch a bid - it remains to be seen if the stock (and therefore the market) can keep it together. The mega-cap chipmaker was pulling virtually the entire NASDAQ higher as we watched. But most of the Magnificent 7 tech stocks were either tepidly up or even down this morning, feeling that pressure we’ve been talking about.
