I never thought about this when I started [in the fashion industry]. Now, not only do I think about it, I'm passionate about the fact that we need to know who else aside from the design and manufacturing teams [are involved]. Who are the mills? Who are the farmers?”](

Owner of the Marini + Cecconi Mill on what makes linen special… “Linen is a love story. When you touch a fabric made with a linen yarn, you can feel the irregularity, the texture, the flame—something that has a life. It also has a lot of sustainability aspects because after we extract the fiber, we can use the seeds, the flowers, and the rest of the plant. It doesn't need any irrigation because the [rain] is enough.”](
