[Complimentary shipping and returns on all U.S. orders + Free same-day delivery in NYC, LA, SF, and more.]( [Theory]( [Theory for Good presents… Good Talks A series of discussions putting scalable sustainability solutions into action. On April 9, we hosted the first installment of the series alongside The Council of Fashion Designers of America, the United Nations Fashion & Lifestyle Network, and our peers in the fashion industry. Titled “The Future Is Flax,” the conversation delved into supply chain traceability and innovation as well as the zero-waste flax plant used to make linen. Hear more from the experts of our inaugural event below. LEARN MORE ABOUT GOOD LINEN]( [Moderator Tonne Goodman, Vogue Sustainability Editor  on projecting our values… “Whatever you put on in the morning is a message to whoever you see as to who you actually are. Not only are you wearing your values, but you are announcing your values.”]( [Panelist Wendy Waugh, Theory's SVP of Sustainability on traceability… “Over the years, I've learned how important it is for us to get back to the source: the farm. I never thought about this when I started [in the fashion industry]. Now, not only do I think about it, I'm passionate about the fact that we need to know who else aside from the design and manufacturing teams [are involved]. Who are the mills? Who are the farmers?”]( [Panelist Francesco Marini, Owner of the Marini + Cecconi Mill on what makes linen special… “Linen is a love story. When you touch a fabric made with a linen yarn, you can feel the irregularity, the texture, the flame—something that has a life. It also has a lot of sustainability aspects because after we extract the fiber, we can use the seeds, the flowers, and the rest of the plant. It doesn't need any irrigation because the [rain] is enough.”]( [Panelist Riccardo Marini, Owner of the Marini + Cecconi Mill on responsibility… “Our goal is to permit the consumer to make a responsible [purchase]. It means that I have to supply as much information as possible [about] the supply chain so that the people who make the purchase can do it responsibly.”]( [Panelist LaRhea Pepper, Founder of Textile Exchange on the role of farmers… “As a farmer, you 're a steward of that circle of life. It's about what you're putting in the soil, how you're treating it, and living in harmony with nature. Every one of us has a passion for what we're doing, but it's so interesting to think about what's happening at the farm level because it's about supporting life, soil, and greater biodiversity.”]( VISIT THEORY [FIND YOUR NEAREST STORE]( [INSTAGRAM]( [FACEBOOK]( [TWITTER]( [PINTEREST]( [YOUTUBE]( Select same-day delivery when you add to cart.
