You know the drill... ...boy meets girl, boy falls in love with girl and vice versa, and they live happily ever after. But what if Boy didn't meet Girl at all? People communicated via telephone or letters. Teenagers, like Boy and Girl, either crowded the malls, the postal service, or the telephone signals. One summer day, Girl was surprised to receive a letter in the mail. It was Boy, and he was looking for a pen pal! Girl responded, and throughout the summer, Girl and Boy deepened their friendship. They told each other everything, even their most ambitious dreams and deepest secrets... ...and, like the flower that blooms in summer, Boy's love for Girl blossomed. But he didn't tell her, not just yet. He allowed the summer to pass. Then fall. Then, winter came, and Girl's father got promoted. He had to relocate his whole family to Australia... to the other side of the world! It was all so sudden. Between adjusting to a new school and helping out at home, Girl completely forgot about Boy. Boy was heartbroken. He didn't get to tell Girl how he really felt. But he did what he had to do and forgot about Girl as well. [Did a spell block you from seeing this image? Click 'Enable images' on your browser to reverse it!] Ten years later, Girl moved to New York for work. You know how in the Big Apple, people never look at each other while walking down the street? Well, call it some kind of magick... but while Girl was walking hurriedly along Madison Avenue, she had the urge to look at the faces of the people she passed. And who should she see but Boy? It was the first time Girl saw Boy in the flesh, having only known him through his letters and pictures. A feeling of comfort and familiarity surged within her. She called out to him and he looked up. So then, the story goes... Girl meets Boy, Girl falls in love with boy and vice versa, and they're still living happily ever after. I know all of this, the Girl is a friend of mine. And her husband of 20 years is none other than the Boy! 🥰 Call that day in New York a big coincidence, but I believe it was the cosmos giving them a new beginning. Moral of the story?
