[View this email in your browser]( Think freely and question everything, including Facebook's motives. Let's start with the bad news. Without notice, our ad network dropped us this week. That means our revenue dropped by a scary amount. We were left scrambling wondering how journalists would be paid for the last month's worth of work, how we would pay our bills, and if we could continue operations. It wasn't nice. Unfortunately we weren't given any information about what led up to our previous ad network dropping us. The Mind Unleashed was sent one email telling us its over and our replies have received no response. To anyone who has followed what independent media has been dealing with over the years, this should come as no surprise. Facebook and Twitter are banning people and deleting pages (years worth of work) without warning or explanation. We don't expect a response from this ad network. They can drop us and put all of our emails right into the trash without hesitation. And we can't do anything about it, thanks to a Non-Disclosure Agreement. Thankfully, we were able to get plugged in to a new ad network right away. But the reality is: if this happened once, chances are it will happen again. And it still doesn't fix the fact that, thanks to our last ad network terminating our contract, we're out a whole month of revenue. In short, they advertised to you with those pesky ads for free for an entire month. We're not happy. I'm telling all of you this because I want you to know how hard it is for independent media to survive right now and how hard we're working to make ends meet. Most of us work almost all hours of the day. We get up early and we stay up late. We don't take days off because the news never stops. We are completely committed to the cause of keeping the public informed about topics they have a right to have access to. But we're worried that the powers that shouldn't be will eventually make it impossible to continue operating. At the same time, we're still dealing with the effects of a meme posted to Facebook in 2014 that was recently "fact-checked." Unfortunately, when something like this happens, it's basically out of our hands. Fact checkers who have been given an absurd amount of authority search social media platforms looking for things to debunk. Who decided they have all the answers? Why are people being punished for asking important questions? And on top of this, a Google whistleblower just revealed how many websites are blacklisted by Google, including our partners over at [theantimedia.org](. In addition to that, advertisers are [dropping ads]( from news articles about topics like "Trump," "racism," "taxes," "shooting" and much much more. In other words, they're dropping ads from the kinds of stories that we write, the type of current events that are normal and common in the United States. Amidst all of this, mainstream media is making millions of dollars. Enough money, in fact, to [pay]( Jesse Ventura MILLIONS of dollars to stay quiet and not talk about the fact that he is against endless wars that MSNBC [fires anchors]( for attempting to cover progressive political candidates. Not to be a downer, but the current landscape is bleak. But we're not giving up. And now.. the GOOD NEWS. We've recently updated our [Patreon campaign]( to include tiers full of great perks (like stickers, t-shirts, and more). We have even introduced some great goals that all Patrons will be able to take advantage of. [Take a peek and send some love our way.]( really need it and every little bit helps. Take a look at our new tiers: If ordinary people really knew that consciousness and not matter or material possessions is the link that connects us with each other and the world, then their views about war and peace, environmental pollution, social justice, religious values, and all other human endeavors would change radically. We seek to disseminate and inspire out-of-the-box thinking and act as a catalyst for people to discover the limitless potential that exists inside us all.
