Plus, your tabs may be scattered across multiple different browser windows. Don't waste your time tracking down tabs. Make Chrome, Firefox, or Edge do the work instead. Your browser of choice can find that tab for you with a convenient little search feature that's always at hand. â This entire email will take you two minutes to read. There's a very fast way to find it. This convenient little search trick works in all the big web browsers, including Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, and Mozilla Firefox. ð» This works on both Windows 10 and Windows 11. â Windows Intelligence reader Tom C. shared a convenient little shortcut he discovered for quickly finding an open tab. First, focus your web browser's location bar: You can press Ctrl+L or click it. (Or, you can press Ctrl+N to a new tab with the location bar focused.) Then: - On Google Chrome, type @tabs and press Space.
- On Mozilla Firefox, type % and press Space.
- On Microsoft Edge, type % â no Space necessary. Start typing to search for an open tab. You can use the Enter key to select the best search result, or use the arrow keys or mouse to select another one. [Searching for a tab in Google Chrome on Windows.] Using another web browser?
