In a statement, the Committee on Tribal Unity said the burial rites of the “fallen KukiZo brethren” will be held on Friday at the Martyr Cemetery at Phaijang. The organisation called for a 12-hour total shutdown within Sadar Hills Kangpokpi from 5 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday for the funeral services and appealed to the general public to cooperate. Parliament winter session Day 10 Fourteen MPs — one from the Rajya Sabha and the rest from the Lok Sabha — were suspended on Thursday for “misconduct” as they demanded a discussion on the security breach in the Lok Sabha. Though DMK’s S.R. Parthiban was also named and suspended as the 14th Lok Sabha member, the government withdrew his name after Congress MP Karti Chidambaram and former BSP MP Danish Ali pointed out that the DMK MP was not even present in the House and was away in Chennai.
