Shah, who is scheduled to participate in functions in Puttur taluk during the day, is likely to reach Mangaluru in the evening. 2. PM Modi to address two rallies in Tripura on Feb 11 Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be in Tripura on Saturday to address two election rallies in favour of BJP candidates, the party’s state media-in-charge Sunit Sarkar said. Modi is scheduled to address the first rally at Ambassa in Dhalai district around 12 noon, and the second at Gomati, which is likely to start at 3pm, Sarkar stated. 3. Mallikarjun Kharge to launch Congress’ mass outreach programme in Jharkhand on Saturday Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge will visit Jharkhand on Saturday and launch the state unit’s ‘Haath Se Haath Jodo’ mass outreach programme, a party leader said on Friday. He will roll out the 60-day ‘Haath Se Haath Jodo’ (Join Hands Together) campaign from the Gumani Ground in Pakur assembly constituency in Sahebganj district, around 400 km from state capital Ranchi. Party workers will conduct a door-to-door visit during the campaign, which will “expose the BJP-led central government’s anti-people policies”, Jharkhand Congress chief Rajesh Thakur told PTI. 4. Himachal Pradesh: Fresh snow in higher reaches, intermittent light rains in mid, low hills The higher reaches of Lahaul and Spiti, Kinnaur and Shimla districts of Himachal Pradesh experienced a fresh spell of snowfall on Friday while widespread light rainfall was recorded in the mid and low hills of the state, according to the weather office. Data from the meteorological department showed Koksar received 41 cm of snow, followed by Kothi 35 cm, Gondla 25 cm, Keylong 23 cm, Kukumseri 21.5 cm, Udaipur 17 cm, Hansa 10 cm, Kalpa 7 cm, Khadrala 3 cm and Pooh and Shilaroo 2 cm each. The fresh snowfall led to the closure of 84 roads. 5. Agra gears up for arrival of G20 delegates Decked up with eye-catching wall paintings depicting the culture of ‘Braj’, vertical gardens, welcome signages and artefacts made of waste products, this Uttar Pradesh city is ready for G20 delegates two-day stay. According to a release, the visit is scheduled for Saturday and Sunday. Talking to reporters District Magistrate Navneet Singh Chahal said, “Various categories of delegates in which about 30 foreign delegates, 40 speakers, and special invitees and others are scheduled to visit from Friday onwards in Agra.” He said a discussion on women empowerment streamlined by the Ministry of the Women and Child Development Department will be held in a meeting upon there arrival. 6. President Droupadi Murmu to begin 2-day Odisha visit on Friday President Droupadi Murmu will arrive in Odisha, her home state, on Friday on a two-day visit to attend official functions. After reaching Bhubaneswar at around 11.45 am, the President will attend the foundation day programme of Jnanaprabha Mission, a charitable organisation. 7. Seoul lifts visa limits on short-term travellers from China South Korea says it will remove the entry restrictions it placed on short-term travellers from China since the start of the year as officials see the COVID-19 situation in that country as stabilizing. South Korea in early January stopped issuing most short-term visas at its consulates in China, citing concerns about a virus surge in the country and the potential for new mutations. 8. Banned websites, apps given 48 hrs to prove genuineness: Official The IT ministry has given 48 hours to banned websites and apps to prove their genuineness, a senior government official said on Thursday. Another senior official from the ministry said the ban has been imposed on the platforms because their businesses were not genuine. “Why would there be any ban if they were genuine? Action has been taken on them,” the ministry official said. 9.
