Bharat Jodo Yatra to resume from Banihal, to enter Kashmir today The Bharat Jodo Yatra led by Rahul Gandhi will resume from highway town of Banihal in Jammu and Kashmir on Friday after a day’s break. The yatra will enter Kashmir valley on Friday for its last leg before culminating in a rally in Srinagar on January 30. 3. Delhi LG invites CM Arvind Kejriwal for meeting Amid the ongoing tussle between the Aam Aadmi Party-led Delhi government and the Lieutenant Governor’s (L-G) office, L-G V.K. Saxena has invited Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, along with his Ministers and 10 AAP MLAs, for a meeting at the Raj Niwas on Friday evening, according to officials at Raj Niwas. However, while thanking the L-G for an appointment, Mr. Kejriwal said that he will be going to Punjab on Friday, and will request an appointment “for some other time”. 4. AAP’s Shelly Oberoi moves SC demanding Delhi’s mayoral election be conducted in time-bound manner The AAP Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) mayoral candidate Shelly Oberoi has approached the Supreme Court to hold MCD mayoral election in a time-bound manner, according to the party. The MCD House was adjourned on January 24 without electing Mayor and Deputy Mayor amid a ruckus by some councillors. The case is likely to be taken up on Friday, AAP leaders said. 5. Delhi HC issues guidelines for medical examination of rape victims in cases where pregnancy exceeds 24 weeks The court asked the girl to appear before the competent authority of Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital on Friday for medical termination of her pregnancy. 6.
