According to sources, women officers Special No. 3 Selection Board is being conducted for promotion from the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel to Colonel from January 9 to 22. 4. SC Collegium firm on appointing gay lawyer Saurabh Kirpal as Delhi High Court Judge The Supreme Court Collegium on Thursday stood firm by its resolve to have the government appoint openly gay lawyer Saurabh Kirpal as Delhi High Court judge, saying every individual is “entitled to maintain their own dignity and individuality based on sexual orientation”. 5. Narendra Modi to launch third Rozgar Mela on Jan 20 The centre is all set to provide jobs to the youth under the third ‘Rozgar Mela’, which will be launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on January 20. Around 71,000 appointees are expected to get appointment letters during the event.
