SC to hear pleas challenging constitutional validity of sedition law Nearly seven months after putting on hold the law on sedition, the Supreme Court is scheduled to hear a batch of petitions challenging the colonial-era penal law on Monday when the Centre is likely to apprise it of the developments, if any, made while re-examining the provision. 4. TN Assembly session to begin amid DMK-Governor tussle The Tamil Nadu Assembly’s first session of the year would begin on Monday with the customary Governor’s address, amid a tussle between the ruling DMK regime and the Raj Bhavan. 5. Urination incident | Two Air India crew members likely to join probe on Monday Two crew members of an Air India flight on which a man allegedly urinated on an elderly woman co-passenger are likely to join the police investigation into the case on Monday, sources said. 6. Tunisha Sharma death: Actor Sheezan Khan’s bail plea hearing adjourned till Jan 9 A court in Maharashtra’s Palghar district on Saturday adjourned till January 9 the hearing of the bail application of actor Sheezan Khan, arrested for allegedly abetting the suicide of co-star Tunisha Sharma. 7. Standing Committee on Defence visits Pokaran field firing range The committee will visit Jaisalmer on Monday where they will be briefed by Lt Gen AK Singh, Army Commander, Southern Command, Pune.
