ASEAN-Defence Ministers Meeting Plus today The maiden India-ASEAN Defence Ministers’ Meeting was held in Cambodia on Tuesday during which Defence Minister Rajnath Singh proposed two major initiatives for further expanding the scope and the depth of defence ties. The meeting was co-chaired by Rajnath Singh and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Defence of Cambodia General Tea Banh. It preceded the 9th ASEAN-Defence Ministers Meeting Plus scheduled to take place on Wednesday. 2. 4th edition of Indo-Pacific Regional Dialogue to begin in Delhi The fourth edition of the Indo-Pacific Regional Dialogue (IPRD), an apex-level international annual conference of the Indian Navy, is all set to begin in New Delhi from Wednesday. 3. Priyanka Gandhi to join ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra’ as it enters M.P. Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra will join the Bharat Jodo Yatra led by her brother Rahul Gandhi on Wednesday when it enters Madhya Pradesh, a senior party leader said. 4. Gurjar leader to oppose Bharat Jodo Yatra if Sachin Pilot not made Rajasthan CM Gurjar leader Vijay Singh Bainsla has threatened to oppose Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Yatra in Rajasthan unless his demand of making Sachin Pilot the chief minister is accepted. Leaders of Gurjar Arakshan Sangharh Samiti will be on the ground from Wednesday to make preparations for stopping the yatra. 5. Morbi bridge collapse | Court likely to issue an order on bail applications today Rusty cables, broken anchor pins, and loose bolts were among the lapses that were not addressed while renovating the suspension bridge in Morbi which collapsed last month into the Machchhu river killing 135 people, as per a preliminary probe by the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL). The court is likely to give an order on bail applications of the accused today. 6. Aaditya Thackeray to meet Tejashwi Yadav on Wednesday Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Aaditya Thackeray, son of former Maharashtra chief minister Uddhav Thackeray, will meet Bihar Deputy Chief Minister and RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav in Patna. 7. C.V. Ananda Bose to take oath as West Bengal Governor on Wednesday Governor designate of West Bengal C.V. Ananda Bose on Tuesday arrived in Kolkata. He will be sworn in as the Governor on Wednesday. Mr. Bose was received by State Ministers Sashi Panja and Firhad Hakim including top State government officials Chief Secretary H.K. Dwivedi and Kolkata Police Commissioner Vineet Kumar Goyal. 8. Youth World Boxing Championships: Seven Indians confirm medals The semifinals will take place on Wednesday. 9. World Team Chess Championship: India beat USA, qualify for quarterfinals It was India’s second win in the tournament and they will now take on France in the quarterfinals on Wednesday. 10.
